Hi Mercy, you are right. The government is not paying attention, and that is why this analysis needs to be carried out and the results discussed.

The other observation you made is equally important and needs to be answered as well, which is what happens to those who did not get admitted to further their studies.

The unfortunate part is that we have people with an entitlement mentality who all feel that they are qualified to gain admission.

I was recently discussing the new 25% cut-off mark for JAMB. Someone said the move was done to stop Nigerians from going to schools outside the country. That would imply that those schools are admitting those with poor grades, but we know that is not the case.

In summary, we need to do all we can to tackle the falling standard of education. This includes making noise until the government notices, and technology solutions.
