Participants at Google Africa Launchpad

Google Africa Launchpad Accelerator is in its third year of helping tech startups scale. This was my first time attending and mentoring at Launchpad, and it was a fulfilling adventure.

The event lasted from April 1st to 5th, with usually two mentoring sessions per day. There were 12 startups in attendance, and I got to mentor about five of them individually.

My focus was on technology, and I am glad I was able to share my knowledge. The way the eyes of the mentees lit up when I told them something that was new to them constantly reminded me of why I do what I do. We often take for granted what we already know, and some little detail might be all someone needs to get his or her startup off the ground.

I am grateful to Google Developers for giving me the opportunity to participate in this round, and I look forward to additional mentoring opportunities.
